Smoking was only banned on Underground trains in 1984 - there's still people working in London who will remember commuting on smoke-filled carriages. I hope that photos like these will seem as disgusting while I'm still a commuter

The single best thing though of freesheets compared to mobile network on the tube: reading the freesheet isn't the same as having the chav talk about her stupid day to a friend on the other end of the phone... That is the single biggest drawbacks of the London bus network...
So very true! I guess Wifi might be a better solution
Glasgow already have O2 points on their underground platforms...and trains in Birmingham have TV's on them...
Mabe the free sheets should do podcast downloads for us; could capture brands attentions a bit more too

There's such a big win available for a mobile network that gets involved with cleaning this mess up, but in the meantime I managed not to link to my underground entertainment of choice, Viigo, in the original post but it is the future - see here
